Friday 29th September August 6pm-8pm
Come along and accompany us on an atmospheric KAYAK session at Bangor Marina. Illuminated by the Full Moon it is a sight to behold and there is no better setting to take in the event than on the water.
September: Harvest Moon
September’s full moon, also known as the Harvest Moon, will be the fourth and final supermoon of 2023 and fortunately for lunar lovers, this lunation will appear bigger and brighter than usual. The full Moon that happens nearest to the fall equinox (September 22 or 23) always takes on the name “Harvest Moon.” Unlike other full Moons, this full Moon rises at nearly the same time—around sunset—for several evenings in a row, giving farmers several extra evenings of moonlight and allowing them to finish their harvests before the frosts of fall arrive
