Many cultures refer to May’s full moon as the flower moon thanks to the abundant blooming that occurs as spring gets going properly. Other names include the hare moon, the corn planting moon, and the milk moon.

We will get kitted up and you will receive a safety brief. The guides will take you through the basics required for paddling and we will head out onto the water to practice before heading on a short journey.

September: Harvest Moon

September’s full moon, also known as the Harvest Moon, will be the fourth and final supermoon of 2023 and fortunately for lunar lovers, this lunation will appear bigger and brighter than usual. The full Moon that happens nearest to the fall equinox (September 22 or 23) always takes on the name “Harvest Moon.” Unlike other full Moons, this full Moon rises at nearly the same time—around sunset—for several evenings in a row, giving farmers several extra evenings of moonlight and allowing them to finish their harvests before the frosts of fall arrive
